Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE)

The Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE) Program is unique to Colorado and is a specially designed program for high risk and students wishing to enroll in a structured work experience program. Colorado ACE program’s mission is to create success for students through collaboration, differentiation, respect, honesty, integrity, and focusing on real world issues.

Goals of the ACE Program:

  • Substantially increase chances of graduation for ACE Students
  • Motivate students to stay in school
  • Prepare students for post-high school success

If Automotive Technologies is your career pathway of choice, Ponderosa High School's program offers a more in-depth look at shop safety, industry procedures, vehicle systems and maintenance, and diagnosis and service while qualifying for Concurrent Enrollment credit through Arapahoe Community College.
