  • DCSD September Count

    Douglas County School District is funded via the Public School Finance Act. Funding is based on the number of students enrolled and in attendance on the "official count day."  For the 2017-18 school year, the official count dates are as follows:  ​Thursday, September 14th, 2017 –Thursday, September 28th, 2017. The official count date is Thursday, September 21st, 2017, which coincides with the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. If parents are concerned regarding this holiday, please be assured that  funding will not be impacted by their observance of the holiday.

  • Mountain Vista Football Youth & Community Night!

    All MVHS feeder students are invited to attend the football game against Hinkley on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Shea Stadium. Kick-off is at 7:30 pm and all feeder school students will get in FREE with a paying adult. Students will have the opportunity to form a receiving line for players as they run through the Eagle Head tunnel to begin the second half of the game. Wear your Heritage Spiritwear!

    Heritage Elementary PTO hosts its annual Heritage Heroes FUND Run on Tuesday, September 19th! We are raising funds to provide all children at our school with additional enrichment programs and to keep class sizes low. Watch the changes in the garden from season to season, and the different crops Heritage grows. Discover what our students are learning about sustainability.
