Learning to read and write is one of the most important skills students learn in elementary school. If a child is struggling to keep up, the Douglas County School District has a safety net – a short-term intensive intervention designed to support ​students by assisting them in acquiring skills that not only quickly bring them back to grade-level, but also help to build a strong foundation for learning throughout their lifetime.

A snowy spring storm delayed the State Track and Field meet, but it couldn’t slow down Douglas County School District’s athletes.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation released the names of the second group of winners in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program, including three Douglas County School District students.

More than 1,400 Colorado students applied for the prestigious Boettcher Foundation Scholarship this year, with 42 being named recipients. Of those, the Douglas County School District (DCSD) is proudly home to five recipients
